about the volunteer league in college
1. General provisions
1.1 The RVMC College Volunteer League is a voluntary association of students, youth and adults focused on universal values and motivated by the desire to do good deeds for the benefit of society.
1.2 The League of Volunteers is created in accordance with the regulations on the College Youth Affairs Committee.
1.3 In its activities, the League of Volunteers is guided by the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Education, the Law on State Youth Policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the World Declaration of Volunteerism, as well as this Regulation.
1.4 The League of Volunteers coordinates voluntary socially significant activities of college students.
2. The purpose of volunteer (volunteer) activity:
2.1 Goals of the Volunteer League:
2.1.1 creating conditions for the involvement of young students in the World Volunteer Movement, as well as the activation and development of the volunteer movement of their country;
2.1.2 development and social self-realization of students through familiarization with various types of social activity, involvement of young people in socially significant activities;
2.1.3 formation of an attitude to an active life position in the youth environment, skills of socially responsible behavior, as well as promotion of the values of humanism and a healthy lifestyle.
2.1.4 development of social activity and self-realization of students through participation in volunteer activities.
3.1 To achieve these goals, the following tasks are solved:
3.1.1 popularization of the ideas of volunteerism in the learning environment;
3.1.2 organization and holding of socially significant events: holding youth actions of various directions, improvement of the city, charity events, etc.;
3.1.3 attracting students to participate in voluntary gratuitous assistance on the basis of the college, as well as social institutions and services of the city of Almaty;
3.1.4 establishing cooperation with social and commercial partners for joint socially significant activities;
3.1.5 development and implementation of effective mechanisms, forms and methods of preventive work with various target groups;
3.1.6 training of participants of the volunteer movement engaged in the prevention of antisocial phenomena among young people and the implementation of information and explanatory and propaganda activities aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle;
3. Activities of the League of Volunteers
3.1 The main activities of the League of Volunteers are:
promotion of the principles of kindness, justice, mercy among students;
cooperation with social centers and services on the organization and conduct of socially significant events;
organization of practical work of volunteers with disabled children, orphans, elderly people;
promotion of a healthy lifestyle among students;
conducting preventive work with young people from the “risk group” (conversations, trainings, thematic games, discussions, promotions);
expansion of the sphere of social interaction and cooperation with charitable foundations and volunteers of other organizations;
3.2 Formation and development of citizenship, social responsibility, self-organization, solidarity, mutual assistance and charity in society;
Involving young people in social practice and informing them about potential development opportunities;
Providing opportunities for young people to express themselves, realize their potential;
Development and support of youth initiatives aimed at organizing voluntary (volunteer) work of young people. Organization and holding of socially significant events: holding youth actions of various directions, improvement of the city, charity events, etc.;
Attracting students to participate in voluntary gratuitous assistance on the basis of the college, as well as social institutions and services of the city of Almaty;
Providing gratuitous assistance to people in need of it;
4. Rights and obligations of the volunteer
4.1 The volunteer is obliged to treat his activities with full responsibility.
4.2 Be guided in their work by the principles of humanism and charity.
4.3 Take part in the provision of social assistance to socially vulnerable segments of the population; children, the elderly, the disabled, as well as people who find themselves in a difficult life situation;
4.4 To promote a healthy lifestyle, organize and carry out preventive work to counteract the spread of socially significant diseases;
4.5 motivate young people to provide assistance, show effective initiative and solve the problems of people in need of support;
4.6 develop and support youth initiatives aimed at organizing youth volunteer work;
4.7 in agreement with the college management, represent the college at promotions and seminars of various levels, as well as at other volunteer events;
5. Management of the activities and structure of the League of Volunteers
5.1 The work of the League of Volunteers is coordinated by the Deputy Director for Educational Work.
5.2 The activities of the League of Volunteers are organized by its coordinator.
5.3 The powers of the coordinator include the following responsibilities:
5.3.1 holding meetings of the general meeting
5.3.2 representation of the interests of volunteers.
5.3.3 definition of areas of activity;
5.4 The General Meeting is held at least once a month.
